I first heard about Agape Auto Transport from this website and gave them a call to find out some relevant information XXXshipping insurance, pickup and delivery times, etcetera etcetera. I had just purchased a car out of California and needed it shipped cross country to NY. I placed the order on a Wednesday and was told that it'd take 1-10 days for a pickup to be scheduled at my initial quote of $1125 ($150 deposit+$975 carrier fee). Being anxious, I called back several times within the next few days, but no one ever made me feel like I was hassling them. When I received a phone call the following...Tuesday?...I was told that a driver was assigned but that it was going to cost an additional $25. I asked her to be honest and how likely was it that someone would get it for the original price. She said in her experience, it was best that I took it because I may get another driver who is asking for the same price or more so considering it was just a quote with a mere $25 difference, I went with the agreed price of $1150.

The driver, Kevin, assigned to the pickup was having some difficulty getting a hold of the guy who was holding the car at his mechanic's shop and I was called by the carrier and informed of this as well as given the driver's phone number to work things out. The driver was kind enough to meet up with my friend who had overslept and was an hour away from where the car was without making too much fuss and was really cool about the whole situation.

Fast forward to Wednesday (I checked up periodically with the driver to see how things were going) and the truck's hydraulic was getting serviced in Illinois after a malfunction so things were probably going to be delayed until Saturday or Sunday. I told Kevin that I had requested time off so I could expect the delivery on Friday and he actually said he'd try to rearrange the order of his deliveries so I could get my car on Friday.

So Friday comes, I get a phone call in the morning from Kevin saying that he's several hours away but he was going to have difficulty getting it to me in Queens, NY because of restrictions for the weight/height/length. How true this is (What if I lived deep into the heart of Long Island?), I don't know. I contacted Agape, and they said they would talk to dispatch to work something out with the carrier so it can be more convenient for me.

So anyway, he wanted me to meet him an hour out of my way for pickup. I explained to him that this was going to be very difficult and that wasn't the arrangement and he told me he'd pay for toll and gas for whoever was taking me. This was good enough for me and when I finally met up with Kevin, the car was VERY dirty from the trip but it was essentially in the same condition that I bought it in and he paid back the difference of my journey and only charged my original quoted price of $975 (less toll+gas).

Cliff's Notes: Although a bit of a headache, in the long run, it was worth it to get my car in one piece and everyone was very honest in their dealings along with LOTS of communication from all involved parties. HIGHLY recommended. Thanks!
