I am terribly disappointed with the service I received from Affordable Auto Transport & and Car. They sent a transportation company who did several things that were inconvenient, unethical, mean, and unprofessional. The people who were supposed to pick up my car asked me to bring my car to them at a location 15 minutes away from my house, with only a hour's notice. I said due to last minute I don't have a ride back, he says he will drop me back off. When I get there I see that under this person's car the bottom is dragging. When I made a comment about it, he says, oh that was like that when she dropped it off. I'm wondering how she drove her car with that big thing dragging. He's then like, okay I'm going to drop you off in your car. I'm like no, because I would rather no one driving my car. So he pulls another car off the truck to take me to my destination. The guy then dropped me off down the street at a friend's house, per my request, being that I didn't want to ride with a stranger to my house. He said that the broker, at Affordable Auto Transport & and Car failed to leave the drop off information and to call him with this info. He then says he is also unsure of the price, so I write out a check for what he thinks the price is, $10 over. I then call him to give him the information for the person that he will be dropping my vehicle off to, as he requested, and tell him that I paid him $10 over requesting my money be returned at the drop off destination. He says, "Well I'm thinking I will hold on to your car and money until you get into town, (which is 7 days later) and then I could take you out to lunch. I kindly reject, he insist. Now I'm concerned because this guy has my car and is appearing to hold it hostage. I attempt to end the conversation because he is attempting to ask personal information and make small conversation, and I have already expressed a disinterest in a lunch date. He then calls me back to make small conversation again and he says "call me back, I would love it if you call me back." I did not call him back. Two days later my friend (the drop off destination) says the guy is not answering his phone to make an appointment. I'm now concerned because he said my car would be there by then. I try calling him, he is no longer answering. I call the broker. A few hours later the guy calls me back and says his truck is broke but he is going to get in my car and drive my car for 2 hours to drop off destination. I feel disappointed but just want my car to get there. He tells my friend that he is on his way in the car, and he will be there at 7pm. Every time she contacts him to find out where he is, he says I'll be there in 5 minutes. He drops the car off to her at 1am. Decides that he does not want to return my $10 and states that he only has $4, "but she can have this." He had to be persuaded by a male to give me my money back. He cracked the top of my car windshield which was $90 to fix, and clearly ripped off the seat belt holder and left it hanging there (appeared to be purposely from passive aggression) and my car was filthy! I called the broker, Mr. Richard, at Affordable Auto Transport & and Car 3 times total, never received a call back even though I left a thorough message explaining why I was trying to reach him. I still do not have the money to clean the mess on the outside and inside of the car that was left, because fixing the windshield was priority. I do not believe this company cares about the people they send to pick up your vehicle, and ignored my attempt to share the information with them. The experience was hurtful and I don't believe a male would have experienced this type of costly disrespect.
