Never Again, My Worst Nightmare

My husband and I used Montway to ship our vehicle from San diego to Connecticut. Montway was amazing, AMKO, who did the actual transporting, horrific!!!! I was provided faulty information and could never get ahold of AKMO myself. Montway called for me and got ahold of them 2/6 times to give me updates. The car was almost 2 days late! I get a call on Sunday April 26th at 930pm from the driver. He called and asked if I wanted my car that night. My options were wait and get it between 8-12 the next morning (the driver was only an hour away) or drive an hour from East Hartford (where it should have been delivered) to Milford, CT and meet him at the truck stop where he was staying for the night and get the car that night. I needed my car so I went. I was paying 130 a day for a rental, which I got one day refunded because I drove this hour. The lack of communication was 110% unprofessional. I was going to ship the car again this fall back to San diego and now I know who I WONT use. It was stressful and a pain to try to keep updated. Never again.

Sydney, thank you for your business and feedback. It is unfortunate that you had an unpleasant experience with us. We always give an estimated time of arrival as 7-10 days; however, different events can occur which delays the driver. Indeed we were late delivering your vehicle by a couple days and I want to thank you for meeting up with our driver. We normally do not ask clients to come and meet the driver, however, you were in a hurry to receive your vehicle so that is why he suggested it. Please understand that even though the driver was only an hour away from your location, he told you he will deliver the next day because he was capped on his daily driving limit. DOT and CHP officers are really strict with the daily driving hours and if he was caught, he would have been fined and gotten a mark on his record. Lastly, I apologize if you could not get in contact with us right away. Most likely the lines were busy and we were not able to answer your or Montways call. However, we do our best to return all our missed calls so if we did not get back to you quickly, I am deeply sorry about that. We know that shipping a vehicle across country can be stressful and we certainly do not want to add to that problem. Thank you again for the feedback; we strive to provide the best service possible with honesty and customer satisfaction as our top priorities and we will use this information to improve our service in the future.
