I should have read all the other customer complaints rather than fall victim to the hard pressure sell of Alfrado. Offering me a great deal($700) just a little lower than ($750) the other quotes I got from a "receive up to 10 quotes" web site.
In signing the contract over the phone and web page, Alfrado pushed me through the contract saying the "current market rate" of $1150 that was in the fine print... was a floating rate, an example, and not what I was paying. He specificially told me I was only paying $700 TOTAL as I asked him several times. It is the price I had written into the contract. It even says "total shipping price" He outright lied to me when he said he would pick up the car in 2 to 4 days from that contract signing. That was 2 weeks ago and every call to him, he said he had a driver and be patient. Finally got Carlos and he told me the SAVER deal I purchased was 30 to 45 days OR MORE for pick up. I was never given options. Even got calls saying a truck would pick up today if I was willing to pay $300 above my contract price. All these tactics are exactly what other customers have indicated in their complaints. Who the hell is regulating these companies???
Finally disgusted, I insisted on a refund only to be told I have to request one by email?? Absolutely cannot call the credit department. What kind of reputable business runs that way. Now they will make me wait weeks and can keep up to 75% of my deposit for "admin costs"!
The company is just a scam. They own 1 truck. Now I have to start all over with NO TRUST in the industry!
