As they are not a carrier, but a broker, they place a $ amount for your vehicle move on a national directory and wait for a trucking company to agree.

The amount of $$ translates directly into how eager/interested a trucking company will be.
I liked Larry as he was straight up with the operation and quoted me a fixed $100 commission ontop of what ever price we advertised on the national directory. He was able to tell me how much comparible moving contracts were being picked up by truckers (sorta like a real estate appraisal) and based on how long I was willing to wait we chose to advertise $750. Within 2 days a trucking company offered to take the vehicle for +$50, Larry wasn't able to get ahold of me (my phone was off) but had an understanding of my price range and wen't ahead and agreed to the increased contract. Which is exactly what I wanted, since it got my car moving in 2 days instead of 2 weeks.

I was happy because I knew/understood exactly what I was paying to who and for what. Its the trucking company who actually does the transport & insurance, so no other broker could really offer anything better in terms of service (on the vehicle is on the transport).

However the initial quote I received from Larry was a bit low and would of resulted in an advertised price of $675 which may taken quite a while for a trucking company to gain interest, so its not a bait and switch, but understand that the price translates into a more expedited pickup and Larry's fixed commision put me in control of the factors, I could also of raise the advertised price a week later if the lower price wasn't working.

5 stars!!!
