First impression was great, then I was worried, then it all worked out and Randy bent over backwards to make the deal.
I had spoken with another broker the day before and was comfortable with them until I reviewed their contract. Even though I had not okayed the contract, my car move was posted on the job boards anyway, but I immediately cancelled. Randy with Aaall States patiently awaited for the other broker to remove my car transport job before posting it with his company.
I confirmed contract with Randy at end of that week for first available pick up the following Sunday afternoon (May 23) - my car is a convertible and I wanted to enjoy her as long as I could.
I was told that either Sunday afternoon or Monday pick up should be no problem. I was moving that Friday and needed shipped to her new owner by Wednesday.
Randy said that should be no problem since the majority of the cars are being shipped north right now, so trailers are headed south empty. That eased my mind tremendously.
But I didn't hear from Randy over the weekend, and when I left a message on Sunday and he returned my call, he said that trucks don't usually pick the order over the weekend, and that since he had not received any calls yet, she would not likely get picked up Sunday or Monday. That would have been nice to know that Friday.
Then, I did not hear any interest in the transport job on Monday or Tuesday either and was worried that she would not get picked up in time.
Received a call Wednesday late morning that a driver was interested and would be at my home in about 3 hours. Luckily I was off that day.
The driver wanted more funds to pick up the car since he was bringing just a pick up truck and 1 car trailer. Randy worked out that end of it without me having to pay any extra than the initial agreement.
Car arrived the following evening and Buyer was happy to see her.
Thank you Randy.
