Very poor service - Just another broker

I searched hard for a good company to transport my used Porsche from Jacksonville to Boston area. I did not want to go with a broker, like the vast majority of the companies on the web, etc. Rich said that AAA Anytime had 11 carriers contracted with them running up and down the east coast daily, and that they were also a broker. I needed a specific 2 day window for delivery, pick up was not so critical. He reassured me that it was not a problem several times. I left a deposit of $448 on a credit card. Daily phone calls were painful lessons in waiting for someone to answer. Eventually I was always reassured that there was no problem and delivery was going to be on time. When the day of delivery arrived and the vehicle still had not been picked up, I was told to call the transport company. Turns out they had contracted with Pioneer Enclosed Auto Transport, Inc. Pioneer was having problems with their new trucks, and said they could not stand by anything the broker says, and "that is what you get for going through a broker." When I called AAA Anytime they became annoyed that I had learned the number of the transport company and became belligerant with comments like "why are you asking us, can't you call the driver?" They blew me off after the money was received and were of absolutely no help. I was even told that they do not return calls.
Pioneer did OK - communication was not great, but the vehicle arrived with no damage and the driver Ray was a great guy and very helpful. The first truck was delayed for mechanical reasons, and Charles was a nice guy but a poor communicator.
