Good Company/Iffy Service

I would probably use UAT again, but I'd be prepared. The worst thing about our experience was the car was originally promised to be picked up on Saturday, October 21st and we sat home waiting for the driver to show up, and no one came, and no one showed, and no one called. We called the office repeatedly and two different voice mails come on..one stating the office is closed on Saturdays and one stating the office is open part of the day on Saturdays. We called until we finally reached someone mid afternoon on Sat. the 21st who told us they weren't showing up until Monday. They didn't bother to call us, we had to call them.
On Monday, we waited again, and were told they weren't showing up till Tuesday. On Tuesday, we get a call saying they are in New Jersey and will be coming later in the afternoon. Around the time they were supposed to arrive, the driver calls and says he can't make it that day, due to mechanical issues. He says he will definitely be coming on Weds. He says he can be there by 5am..we said FINE! He was ON Time on the 28th.The driver was from Continental Automovers and was efficient and kind..but he told us NO WAY was our car getting to California by the 31st, but should be out there between the 7th and the 10th of Novewmber. We called the office and Arnold said he'd see what he could do to speed that up, since originally we were promised the 31st of October.
The car was delivered to California on the second promised date of November 4th (the lst date of arrival promise being Oct. 31st)..which was somewhat inconvenient but one week was an acceptable amount of time to wait. They did take some money off the balance due for our inconvenience, which is good business sense. The only other complaint was timing again on drop off day. The office calls and says the car will be arriving around noon, the driver calls and says before noon, then they didn't show up till later in the afternoon..more like 3pm.
Overall, as I stated above...Arnold handled our issues well. I would probably use them again, but I would lower my overall expectations on pick up dates and timing.
The car did arrive VERY dirty and greasy; even dusty on the interior on a different carrier than it started out on, but a $45 full service car wash in L.A. took care of that.
