i originally called aa automovers at the end of june to schedule a pick up of my vehicle to move it from new jersey to florida because my daughter is a college student and needed her car on the 16th of august. the contract for the move was signed on july 30, 2010 and i was assigned a carrier DH Trucking out of PA. the date of pick up was the 13th to the 17th of August. right than and there i had a problem because i wanted the car to be in florida on the 16th of august. so i was not happy. i made several phone calls and sent several emails to let the company know that i was not happy with the dates of the pick up and i received no response from them. (this is why i originally called in june to make sure the car was there for my daughter when she arrived in florida). i finally had to threathen to get my attorney if i did not receive a call back. A J from customer service finally did return my phone call but was no help in changing the date or getting a different carrier to get my car to florida on time. as a matter of fact he was quite nasty and hung up on me. so since i had already paid i had no choice but to let them pick up the car. so of course i was hoping the pick up would be in the earlier part of the contract but of course that was not the case. the car was supposed to be picked up on tuesday august 17 but the truck broke down. we made numerous attempts to call the truck carrier. the time schedule was for 10am and we called DH from 11 am to 6 pm and he never answered his phone, nor could we leave a message because his mail box was full and it is still full today. we were also calling the company and they were also not able to get in touch with the carrier. so finally we got in touch with him and he picked up the car early the next morning and was to arrive in florida on sunday august 22. he had to drop off a car in winter park in the morning and than he was to drop her car off second. winter park is a 25 minute ride to orlando. he said he would arrive there in the morning. well after my daughter waiting around until 3pm and unable to contact DH she finally went shopping for food. all the while we are calling the truck and she is calling the truck and he refused to answer the phone. as her and her friend were leaving target they happen to see the truck on the road and had to chase him down because he was passing her house. he claimed his nav broke. they finally caught up with him and got him to turn into a parking lot to get her car off the truck. talk about the worst experience ever. and to top it off there is a small crack in the windshield which i want fixed. as far as i am concerned my contract is null and void with aa automovers because the car was picked up late and delivered several hours after it was promised. aa automovers did nothing to solve the problem i had right from the start. so if you are smart you will not use aa automovers. find a better company. i will be searching for another one, you can bet on that.
