There were several problems with the transport of this vehicle. The driver came later in the day of pickup than was anticipated. He was not able to pick it up at our location, so we had to make other arrangements and figure out a place quickly and locally that would work, at the last minute. It was also quite a challenge communicating with the transport driver whose English was somewhat limited. He was given the automobile and the keys with written instructions of where to deliver and suggestions about which highway to use once in California. He gave us a date of delivery in California. Arrangements were made with a friend in California to meet the transport driver upon his arrival. The driver gave us the date he would deliver the car in California, but he ended up getting there several days early, not within the dates we had in our paperwork. This caused a great deal of distress in contacting the friend who was making the pick up, but it was finally arranged. The friend was not aware of condition of the auto before transport from Indiana. Thus he did not know to inform the driver that two chips in the windshield had not been there before the transport. The owner of the vehicle discovered these upon arrival. At her own expense she had these repaired.
