Consider another company. Impressed with DAS, they will guarantee pick up and delivery.

Summary:
Order placed-3/19/04
Pick up - 3/24/04
Order Terminated: 3/31/04 (no pick up confirmed)

Communication sent to A-1 (with 3/31 update).
Date:3/30/04

Order # 44536.

Original pick up date was 3/24/04. No one appears to be able to establish an actual pick up date, much less delivery. No contact has been made by the A-1 Transport to pick up point since Friday(3/26). No contact has been made by contracted trucking group to pick point at all. No proactive follow up with pick up or destination (except by ----, last week, sharp person with apparently no authority to get results; still nice effort).

I have engaged ------ in dispatch on numerous occasions relative to this transport. Cannot tell if she is working for me or against. Appears to want to resolve this, but, not sure if it is to make this go away or get a 65 Mustang to me? I appreciate her frustration, but, it pales in comparison.

If A-1 is unable to keep its commitment to move this vehicle, please, tell the truth. No excuses, just truth and facts. I can live with people messing up, delaying the placement of an order or other logistical issues that come into play. Excuses with no fact basis or confirmation (just what "might have happened"), no proactive engagement to resolve and no results has been the pattern. Enjoy to saga below:

3/19/04 - Order confirmed for 3/24/04 pick up: "10 days from pick up; You'll have it before Easter!"
3/23/04 - No contact with pick up site; call to A-1 "car assigned to truck this morning; they will contact; we only got this on Friday(3/24)". Informed dispatch that pick up site not available on Thursday (3/25).
3/24/04 - No contact with pick up site; call to A-1 - "should have made contact with pick up?; assigned yesterday"
3/25/04 - No contact with pick up site; call to A-1 - "we do not have enough enclosed carriers, this order is 'special'; we contracted it out to a company in Indiana".
3/26/04 - No contact with pick up site; follow up call to A-1; Gail calls pick up site after not being able to get dispatch; ensures pick up site transport order is real and that he will be called by truck for weekend pick up.
3/27/04 - No contact with pick up site; call to A-1; "sorry sir, no one is working in dispatch over the weekend; I'm in sales; you will have to wait until Monday"; request made for contact with someone to look into problem before Monday; no return call.
3/29/04 - No contact with pick up site; call to A-1; "that was picked up over the weekend; I'll call the trucking dispatcher to find out what happened and have them call you"; request made to speak with someone in management who can correct this situation; informed by Teresa she is the person in charge and many curse words displaying her frustration with the situation.
3/29/04 - No contact with pick up site; follow up call to A-1; informed A-1 no call to me or pick up site; "nothing I can do; their truck was probably overloaded; they said they were in the area; sometimes cars weigh more than expected"; When asked if this was indeed the case, "I don't know"; request made again to speak with someone in management who could do something about this; No reply; informed pick up "maybe on Tuesday(3/30) or Wednesday(3/31); They will call 24 hours in advance if they are coming"; no follow up call to confirm. Call placed by A-1 to pick up site saying trucker will call.
3/30/04 - No contact with pick up site as of 1:19pm PST; no call to delivery point; No guarantee that anything is progressing; email to A-1

These are facts. Please explain why this fact stream exists. Not with excuses, but, with facts. People, systems and equipment breakdown. This I understand and can live with it when I know people are trying to make something right. Indifference and cross stories I do not understand or have tolerance for. Someone has to be in charge of and/or accountable for quality processes in the organization. Please have them look into this for both our sakes. I want my car delivered within the time commitment originally sold to me (the pick up aspect of this has long past). Other logistics issues begin to work into the picture on the delivery side the longer this takes. Not asking for much, just keep me informed and make things happen.

3/30/04 - UPDATE: 4:45pm PST; no contact with pick up point by trucking company; call A-1; Get "office hours" recording stating that they close @ 5:00pm PST-It's 4:45pm PST!!
3/31/04 - Order terminated; A-1 apologized for not being able to pick up the car and transport it.
