Let me start off by saying that I wouldn't be surprised if ALL of the positive reviews on this site about A-1 were created by people who work at A-1. I'm serious. There is no way that anyone has had a good experience with them.

We're approaching one month since I dropped off my car at the A-1 terminal in Nashville, TN for a trip to Los Angeles. Has it been picked up yet? Of course not. I've called them several times. My calls were not returned. When I did get a hold of someone, they were either evasive or just plain rude. Today I spoke to the general manager Jim, who told me, "We'll get you your car when we have a truck to pick it up." Their claim is that I called to cancel the order siting I was no longer moving. I assured them this was not true, because I have in fact moved! This is probably a common way for them to buy time because they would most certainly not send a truck across country inless it was full. So, they wait. They lie. They make up stories. They evade phone calls.

If I ever do see my car again, I wouldn't be surprised if it comes back damaged or burnt to a crisp. DO NOT USE A-1 AUTO TRANSPORT!!!!

I was also told that they are a member of the BBB. Please refer to the BBB website to see their record. They've never been a memeber and they have a HORRIBLE record with them. Last I checked, there were 197 complaints in the last 36 months.

Do your homework. Check this company out. There are several websites full of people's horror stories in them. AVOID A-1 LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

I wanted to make another posting to the company response from A-1 for my posting back in April. A-1's claim has been that I called on 3/28 to cancel my order because "I was no longer moving." This is a blatent lie attempting to cover up some mistake or other impropriety on their part. The truth is I DROPPED THE CAR OFF AT THE A-1 TERMINAL ON 3/25! Furhter, I moved on the 30th! I NEVER CALLED TO SAY I WAS NOT MOVING! I MOVED! Why would I cancel my shipment three days AFTER I dropped the car off. Mark Anthony says he spoke to me on the 28th. That is absolutely not true. Why don't we check that phone call tracking system. My car did, however, finally come 32 days after I dropped it off. That's thirty-two. Not 7-10. Thirty-two. And, it is true that I thanked Mark for calling me back. By the time I finally heard from A-1, I was VERY glad for anyone to actually have called me. Mark was the only person who returned phone calls. My review of A-1 is still the same. Do your homework! Spend some time researching auto transport companies.

Here's the kicker. It took 32 days for my car to get from Tennessee to California. Thirty-two. Did A-1 offer me a refund or even a partial refund? Absolutely not. The BBB sent me a response to my compaint and here is what A-1 offered as a consolation: $50 off my next auto shipment with them. Not only do they not care about their customers or customer service, A-1 will also patronize, insult, rip you off and then say F*%# you! They are crooks. Don't use them.

Spend a few extra dollars for a reputable company. You'll thank yourself in the end.
