When searching for a shipper I got a reply from Adam at A1 Auto Logistics that they had one last spot on a truck available. I called to confirm the spot and that I'd need a 100% guarantee it will be picked up by the agreed upon 2 day window. Adam confirms and takes my info and to my surprise hits me with a $95 charge up front, unlike most which don't charge until your auto is picked up. This should have been my first warning.

Driver was suppose to contact me or the seller the day before pickup. First day of the window approaches and no word, I find it becomes harder to reach Adam by voice or email and when I finally do I'm assured it was on the books and still scheduled to be picked up by the 2nd day of the 2-day window. 2nd day window approaches and I inquire again. Suddenly he replies that the driver can pick up at 5pm on the 2nd day window. I confirm the time and notify the seller since the driver has, up to this point, not contacted anyone which is very unusual (Warning #2).

The morning comes and I get an email from Adam to call as soon as possible, the truck had a mechanical failure that will delay it's arrival and that they are working on a replacement truck. First, if it was urgent CALL ME, I get the email about 1/2hr after that's sent and start trying to contact Adam by email and phone (calling every 5mins), the seller does the same. We both cannot get ahold of anyone at A1 Auto Logistics for almost 3 HOURS despite trying a number of extensions, leaving voice messages and emails. This is not good, if I can't even get a hold of them by phone what will happen when they have my car hostage?

Adam finally calls back in the afternoon, I give him and A1 Auto Logistics one more chance to find a truck that day before I call the deal off and get my money back, he assures me that if things don't pan out that he'll submit paperwork for the refund. Maybe it's no surprise I didn't hear from them that day so I email him a formal cancellation for a refund, which after 2 days he confirms.

What happens next is yet another in a long list of why you shouldn't trust this company. I notice on my statement that I was only refunded $25. First he disputes that I haven't notified him of cancellation and as such he didn't even need to give me a refund in the first place (like I was lucky to get $25), after re-forwarding his reply that he got my cancellation request, he back pedals and tells me he'll put in the paperwork for the remaining amount. As expected I never got another reply from Adam to any of my refund inquiries after that. It's a good thing as a precaution that I started a dispute with my credit card to get the full amount reversed, THAT was the only way I got my money back.

You know what, no one but Adam works there, he says there's a whole group of people but you'll find no one answers any other extension and no one but him will pick up the phone. Their listed phone number with the credit card company is not even valid, 260-338-2192.

Save yourself a headache and look somewhere else.
