We needed to transport my girlfriend's car from UT to WV and are on a budget, and A1 Auto Logistics gave us the most reasonable quote. After doing a bunch of research and realizing that pretty much all auto-transport companies are a crap-shoot, I contacted Adam at A1 and advised him of our concerns. He assured me that the car would be picked up within 10 days and would take no more than an additional 6 (excluding an act of God...) to get her vehicle here. I agreed that this was a reasonable time-frame but that any longer would SERIOUSLY inconvenience us, as my girlfriend had job interviews lined up and we don't have a spare vehicle. Adam again assured me that it would not be an issue and that it was likely that her car would arrive in less than 2 weeks. Feeling relatively relieved by his confidence and assurances...I made the reservation.

BIG mistake...

A few days into the 'pick-up window', I contacted Adam to see if any progress had been made. He told me that 'our order was in limbo' but that we should expect to hear something 'any day now'. Not wanting to be too pushy, I decided to hold off on any more contact until the 10 day window had expired. On the 11th day I contacted Adam via email and demanded an update...and guess what...no response. On the 13th day, Adam finally responded saying that they were 'trying' to get the car picked up the following Monday...8 full days after the 10 day pick-up window that he assured me of, and that we were contracted by.

Needless to say-I have cancelled my order with A1 Auto Logistics due to breach-of-contract and am demanding a refund of my $85 depost (which I'm sure will also be a nightmare to get back) and will also be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I've worked in the service-industry all of my life, and am the first to give positive feedback when deserved. But for those that may choose to solicit A1 Auto Logistics due to their seemingly low transport quote...PLEASE do not be fooled and have to go through the nightmare that my girlfriend and I have in dealing with this EXTREMELY shady outfit. Not only am I out a minimum of $300 for a weekly rental car...but now I have to re-book with a different carrier and hope this whole situation doesn't blow up in our faces again.

I strongly urge anyone out there NOT to use this company for the transportation of their automobile...I'm quite certain you'll be VERY sorry........
