I HAD MY VEHICLE A CUSTOM 1972 CAPRICE CLASSIC SHIPPED FROM JAX FLA TO HI. A UNIQUE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SHIPPING OF MY VEHICLE. I CONTACTED THEM TO MAKE SURE THE SHIPMENT WAS GOING WELL AND WAS TOLD THAT MY EMERGECCY BRAKE WAS BROKEN. I KNOW FOR A FACT TAHT MY BRAKE WAS NOT BROKEN PRIOR TO SHIPPING WITH THEM. I ENDED UP HAVING TO PAY EXTRA MONEY FOR SOMERTHING THAT WAS NOT BROKEN TO BEGIN WITH. I WAS GIVEN A INVOICE SHOWING THAT THIS WORK WAS DONE BUT THE INVOICE WAS FROM A UNIQUE TRANSPORT. I ALSO HAD A ISSUE WITH MY SPEAKERS N MY TRUNK. HE TOOK THE SPEAKERS TO GET MOUNTED FOR ME BUT WHEN MY VEHICLE GOT TO HAWAII FINALLY MY DAMN SPEAKERS N RADIO WAS NOT WORKING AND SOMEONE SAT THERE DIRTY OILY ASS ON MY $5000 CUSTOM OSTRICH SEATS. I HAVE OIL N DIRT FROM SOMEONES BOOTS IN MY FLOOR CARPET AS WELL. MY VEHICLE WAS LEFT OUTSIDE AND WAS SHIPPED WITH BIRD SHIT AND SCRATCHES ON IT THAT WERE NOT THERE BEFORE. IM PISSED BEYOND BELIEF. DO NOT I REPEAT 50 TIMES DO NOT USE THEM FOR A SHIPMENT.

We did everything possible to make the vehicle acceptable for Matson Shipping and convenient for the customer. Matson requires the vehicle to be fully functioning; we do not necessarily use the emergency brake because we tie the vehicle down to the truck. Upon delivering to Matson, an inspection was completed in which Matson discovered an inoperable emergency brake. We brought the vehicle back to our yard, causing us to miss a pick up since the Caprice took up that space, and took it to a local mechanic shop where they repaired the emergency brake. The customer did not have the funds to pay for the repairs, so the owner Mike paid for and billed the customer. Matson Shipping in Long Beach also requires everything in the vehicle to be secured, that is why we took the speakers to get mounted. All the customer had to do is pay for the clips used to mount the speakers. Our company does not hold responsibility for any mechanical or electrical functions of the vehicle; all we do is transport the vehicle. There was also barely any gas left in the vehicle, so we had to go out and get a couple gallons of gas to start the vehicle; we did not charge the customer for this. The owner personally took care of all the things done on this vehicle. We only charged the customer for the repairs, a week of storage, redelivery, and the payment for the transport which was supposed to be paid at pick up. Matson shipping also does not accept dirty vehicles. The vehicle was sitting in our yard for almost a month, so we took the vehicle for a wash before delivering, customer was not charged for that as well. Up until then, the vehicle was sitting in our yard because the customer did not have sufficient funds for the repairs, etc. Since we faced these complications with regard to delivering the vehicle, the shipment deadline had passed, and the vehicle was sitting in Matson’s lot until the next shipment. The vehicle was also shipped via an open carrier. Small scratches and dirt are all results of shipping a vehicle via an open carrier. Mike had to drive to the body shop, then a Western Union to receive payment, get the car washed, purchase gas, and get the stereo mounted at a stereo shop. This was done in the course of a week in which Mike took time out of his personal things to get this done. Everything done for this customer was for their convenience, what we did for this customer is something others wouldn’t even deal with. We expected a 5 star rating from this customer, we are surprised that we received a rating like this from them.
