I wish that I had known enough to visit Transport Reviews prior to contracting A Eastern Connection.

I contracted A Eastern Connection to transport my 2006 Jeep Commander from Illinois to Washington state. I was moving households on a tight schedule and I was assured over the phone a pick-up date of 26 June 2008. I called on the afternoon of 26 June to enquire as to the status of my carrier and was informed that the "carrier was running behind" and that my car would be picked up the next day. I called again on the afternoon of 27 June 2008 to enquire as to the status of my carrier and was informed that "the carrier was making deliveries and would most likely be able to pick up my vehicle on Sunday or Monday," the 29th or 30th of June 2008. I called again on the 30th of June and was informed that "my vehicle could be picked up on Wednesday or Thursday," the 2d or 3d of July. I then called back after reading several poor reviews of this company on this site and, after mentioning my invoice number, was connected to "John." Upon informing "John" that I would be cancelling my order and informing the BBB he offered no course for remediation of my complaint and informed me that I was contractually obligated to pay a $250 administration charge. I also mentioned the unflattering Fox New York TV report on his company (http://www.myfoxny.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=5898691&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=VSTY&pageId=3.1.1) as well as the preponderance of bad reviews on this site and he responded that "you can't trust" either of those sources.
