I originally called A AAAdvantage Auto Transport with a website of http://www.automoves.com/ because a friend had used them and liked them a lot. Their website states they have company owned trucks. IE Not a broker.

THIS COMPANY IS NO LONGER THE SAME COMPANY.

The original business used to be based out of Tempe Arizona. When you call the phone numbers on the site, you get a similarly named, but DIFFERENT business in Denville NJ, AA-Automovers which IS a broker. http://www.aa-automovers.com

I originally called, and stated that I had a car that HAD to be picked up within five days, and asked if they could do that. Nick assured me that it would not be a problem. He seemed very knowledgeable and told me everything I needed to know - so I thought. He explained that the driver would call 24 hours before picking up the car, and once they did, would have the car for 6-9 days while transporting it. The contract stated a 'schedule period' - not a pick up period. The schedule period dates coincided with my pickup date + 9 days. MY ASSUMPTION. This was actually the period that they had to pick up my car, even though over the phone Nick assured me that my car would be picked up one of two specific days.

After signing the contract I could NEVER get Nick back on the phone again. If anyone else answered, I would either get transferred to his voice mail, or to customer service, who tried to upsell me on a different 'package'. Basically I could pay $500 more for a two day narrower window of opportunity for pickup.

As it was, I had to leave the keys to my car with a neighbor and hope they'd be there when the pickup finally happened. I was without my car for two weeks on the receiving end.
