I was leaving on May 26, 2008 from Pittsburgh and arriving in Tacoma, Washington in the evening. I wanted my car to arrive at my motel in Tacoma the following day on May 27, 2008. I contacted carmoves in the begining of May and was told that they would pick the car up between May 13- 16 and would call me 24 hours in advance. I faxed them my paperwork from a online form I downloaded and gave the customer rep a $200 deposit by debit card over the phone. My orginial quote was $1300. The company (whom carmoves contracted) called 24 hours in advance as promised on May 12 (a day early) and came on May 13. They gave me their driver cell phone numbers and company office number for future use. When they did arrive and because my street is very narrow and they were coming with a huge trailor, I had to meet them several blocks away - it wasn't a problem and I was able to obtain a ride home from a friend. (The driver did say he would drive me back to my house if needed) The contractor called on May 17th and informed me that my car arrived in Tacoma was told that they would hold my car until I arrived. As I never heard from the contracting company again and could not get a live person when I tried to call them on May 25 - May 27 , I had to call carmoves on May 27th to determine if the car was arriving as planned on this day. My orginial customer service rep was no longer with the company, but the supervisor who helped me contacted the contractor immediately (maybe they had a different phone number, not sure) and my car was delievered at 6 PM on May 27..as promised. There was a $70 fee in additiion to my quote, so the total I paid was $1370. So all in all, I don't think I had a bad experience at all. The only thing that peeved me was the fact that I had to call them to find out if the car was being delieved that day. Other than that, I feel everything was fine. My car arrived on time with no damages and nothing was stolen.
