First let me say "GILBERT IS THE BEST"!!!! Any company can receive a great review when things go as planned, but if things go in the wrong direction, it takes a very special individual to make them right. Gilbert is that person. 5Stars's quote was not the highest or lowest, middle of the road. After speaking with Gilbert, telling him my needs, we agreed to move forward. My charge card was charged immediately the $199.00 deposit. It really didn't matter to me, but it might to someone else, so I am just letting you know. JM Auto Transport in Lemont, Il was to be the carrier, drivers name Jacob Gowin. I spoke with Mr. Gowin about two days before the scheduled pickup and he assured me that he was picking up the car. Come the day of the pickup, he never answered his phone, I left messages to call me if he was not picking up the car, he never did call back and he never picked up the car. SOOOO if you see him as your driver, refuse to use him. A simple phone call to me or Gilbert, would have allowed us to move forward much quicker. At this point Gilbert had to scramble to get a new drive that could meet my deadline. I work for an airline and am not in town much, so I only had a few days to work with. Finally and due to the short notice and window of delivery time, Gilbert got Fast and Furious with and enclosed truck, at the same price as my original unenclosed contract. They were to deliver the car at 6pm, that changed to 9pm, no problem just glad they could make it....however....you have to laugh at this...my car was on top and somehow at the last stop, HOURS away, they had given the wrong key away...so now my car was stuck on top as there was no key to move the car on the bottom. They then had to drive several hours to deliver another car so that they could move my car onto the forward truck...it was a double truck...and then would deliver it in the morning. As I was flying out the next day, the car had to be delivered by 8am, which it was....the drivers were sooo nice, apologized a million times....I felt worse for them than for me. But everything worked out in the end, it put a lot more stress on Gilbert, which he handled well. I am glad he was on my team. So all is well that ends well. I was a little stressed out as well, but Gilbert was always available by phone to answer my questions. Would I use them again????? Only if I get Gilbert....Brian was helpful as well, don't want to leave him out.......
