The customer was clearly told before placing her order that we do not use tote roll on roll off. That particular mode of transport does not guarantee enclosed and she requested an enclosed transport from Seattle to Anchorage. Upon placing the order she was given our best estimate of 2-3 weeks from pick up at the dealership in Ohio to delivery in Anchorage and the new Audi was picked up at the dealership the next day. The car was almost to Seattle when I called to give her an estimated arrival time in Alaska. It was then she told us that she needed her car by Dec 1st and wanted us to use the quicker tote on/tote off shipper. We were agreeable to making the necessary changes but when she learned that the faster shipper charges $300 more, she decided to use the service we had arranged for her. The brand new Audi will therefore be crated and enclosed as planned rather than on the faster ship where there is a possibility of being parked on the open deck. The transit time is longer than she would have liked but the option to change was made available to her and the final decision was hers.
