One issue that is a problem for me in Florida is that the car I usually want/need is always pretty far away. I discovered this when shopping for a decent minimal rust 280Z (they are all out west). The only thing to do is to find a decent shipping/transport company.

My latest project is a Toyota Supra. I bought a one here in Florida on Ebay that needed some work, and rented a U-haul to tow it across the state. A few weeks later, the ideal Supra parts car was up for auction, so I sniped it for a decent price! The only problem was that it was in Michigan.

I used this website for reviews (which unfortunately I did not do before when I bought a truck in Ohio that was delivered at 4 AM after two weeks!!!). I got prices from $695 to $995, and went with 1st Choice @ $745 based on their reviews here.

The transaction could not have gone any better. I received a shipping quote on Thursday 7-21-05, and applied the same date. I was notified of shipping contract the following day, the car was PICKED UP ON A SATURDAY (the next day, this is now 2 DAYS after I placed my order) and delivered the following Monday!!! This is a total of four days from the time I placed my order. I couldn't have flown in & driven it here any sooner.

The transport driver (Mel-Lin Transport Inc) was a very nice man who took some extra time w/o complaint to unload the car, which was somewhat difficult due to pre-existing damage (remember, it was a parts car).

It is now here in one piece along with six other 4-wheel friends.

Outstanding job on this shipment, I will certainly use this company again.
