First phone contact on 6/14 with Brandi (1ST CHOICE SHIPPING) after getting quotes in March from 6 or 7 other companies. I found them all at this site. No problem, she said, but price was increased from original quote of $2100. Okay. Brandi always answered the phone and seemed knowledgeable. My first time to ship a car anywhere but we had quotes from other firms and I selected them as the self-named expert in Alaska or Hawaii shipments. BIG mistake. She said the truck had to do the pickup the last week in June to get to Alaska by 7/17 when it was required to be in Alaska. I always had to initiate contact and never received contracts or any documents by e-mail. All contacts by phone. When no contract or pickup had been arranged by 6/25 I began to get sorried and by June 27 I realized this company is a do-nothing firm and desperately began to contact other companies. I left a tearful message with AUTO STAR TRANSPORT 6/27 evening. I was contacted 6/28 early morning by Keeron Van Der Merwe who was helpful and efficient, resulting in my car being picked up 16 hours later. Contracts and information by e-mail, payment by debit card. Car is on its way to Washington now and will only be delayed by a day or so as a result of earlier reliance on 1ST CHOICE SHIPPING. I would NEVER recommend this broker to anyone. AUTO STAR TRANSPORT is professional, efficient and courteous. Keeran answered every e-mail (and there were many) and every phone call from this hysterical customer.
