This is the 3rd time I have shipped a vehicle, and by far the smoothest service I have ever experienced. I chose Fletcher and 1 ALL ABOARD AUTO TRANSPORT (NY) because I read an extensive number of reviews which were positive. The thing that struck me most about Fletcher was that he was honest, and I felt I could trust him. While all the other companies were spamming me with email "reminders" and pressure tactics, from the start, Fletcher gave me the hard truth. "Howard, this is not going to be easy" was his first assessment of my needs. As it turns out, going from the east coast (Virginia) to the west coast (California) in June is in the middle of a summer rush. With 2014 emissions regulations eliminating many of the former carriers on this route, demand now far exceeds capacity, and Fletcher was honest about this right up front. He searched the current database of vehicles waiting for transport, and read down the list how much they were offering, and how long they were waiting. The economics of this run are pretty straight forward, if you pay "just above market" your vehicle will get moved pretty quick. If you try to low ball the price, you may wait extra days, and even weeks. My family and I had plane tickets booked to fly back, and the last thing I wanted was to leave my vehicle waiting for a ride. Fletcher coached me daily, and called it like he saw it. And he was dead on accurate. I wanted to get my SUV into the San Francisco Bay Area, and we were not getting any calls to book it. I asked him for options, and it was simple; up your offer, or be a little flexible on the pickup or drop off. Rather than push for door to door, I agreed with his strategy to bring the SUV to a major city along the main trucking route (Richmond). I also decided to accept a ride to Los Angeles (Major terminals and depots there), and hopped a short flight down to drive back up. Again, Fletcher was straight up, and as soon as we loosened up the requirements, he found one of his carrier buddies (experience matters) and had me booked that day. The driver even agreed to meet me at midnight, rather than 8am, which allowed me to avoid rush hour traffic, and get an easy ride back from a friend.
All in all, I highly recommend that you consider using Fletcher for your next vehicle transport. The confidence and experience he has will likely save you from major frustration, aggravation and disappointment. Fletcher exceeded my expectations, and I am a pain in the a$$ "new yawka" who is not easily impressed.
I used to think lots of these reviews were fake, so I wanted to make sure I not only wrote one, but please feel free to contact me directly through this website if you need more convincing.
Note: Fletcher is a broker. You pay him his fee ($250), and he won't sleep again until you are all set. I got constant email updates, text messages and emails. Never any guessing about what was happening. Can you say "Peace of Mind!"? He earned every penny. I feel like I not only made a great professional contact, but I now consider Fletcher my "friend in the industry".
BTW, my SUV arrived in perfect condition, with cargo (+$150) perfectly intacct. It was also 3 days earlier than estimated, which saved me more $$$ since I did not need to rent a car while waiting.
