This company put my vehicle on the transporter backwards, causing the wind to rip off a metal Air Dam & Chrome Trim that was secured with 4 metal gromits. The air dam is to help the flow of air flow from the front to the back of the vehicle, not the opposite direction. There was nothing in my contract that advised me they would put the vehicle on backwards. Had I known they were going to do this, I would have refused the transport as any idiot would realize this would cause damage. They have refused to pay $300.00 for replacement, advising me its not their falt. First they blamed the age of the car. (26 yrs old, yet in pristine condition). Then they said I needed to get the 3 estimates to them within 24 hours, then they said the broker was responsible! The Broker did not load the vehicle on the transporter backwards, they did. I would never use these folks again & suggest you don't as they don't care about what they are transporting and they don't care if they cause damage.

We have explained to Ms. Chojnacki that the parts that failed on her car were due to age, 26 year old cars do have parts that due to wear and tear will fail. In this industry, there are always situations where a car may have to be loaded in reverse in order to balance the load. We offered a closed container, but Ms. Chojnacki went the less expensive route of open container. Our bill of lading clearly states that any damage needs to be reported immediately. Ms. Chojnacki did not choose to contact us with regard to her claim until weeks after the delivery. Her claim was denied as the driver did not cause the damage, and the shipper is responsible for preparation of the vehicle, securing of any loose parts, her contract was with the Broker - on that broker's web site, there are multiple examples of where vehciles are transported rear facing. Accelerated did not cause the parts to fail. Age did. This is very common in the transport buisness. In the spirit of compromise we did offer a 1/2 offer to join in with her broker that had the signed contract with her, Ms. Chojnacki rejected the offer as she and the broker refused any compromise. We stand by the denial as there was no negligence, nor did the driver or carrier cause the parts to fail.
