As per multiple conversations with the contracted carrier Land Carriers INC, they suffered a hydraulic failure on their trailer and had to stop for repairs.

In order to best satisfy this move, we advised Mr. Machado to have his vehicle moved from New Hampshire to North Bergen, NJ, stored at a terminal over night, and then moved from North Bergen, NJ to the ultimate destination of California. Mr. Machado agreed to this and we began arrangements. Mr. Machado paid an initial payment to Ship Your Car Now, with a balance due on delivery to the second carrier.
When the vehicle was delivered to Mr. Machado, he inspected the vehicle and signed a BOL release that the vehicle was acceptable. It wasn't until the next day that Mr. Machado notified us of the damage to the vehicle. Ship Your Car Now immediately provided insurance information for both carriers used in the transport of his vehicle. The first being Pina Auto Transportation and the second being Ambela. Mr. Machado was instructed by Ship Your Car Now to immediately report the damage to the responsible insurance company.
Though Mr. Machado entered into an agreement with Ship Your Car Now, the company was only obligated to provide a carrier with insurance to transport the automobile. Allegedly, the carrier damaged the automobile during the transport. While unfortunate, surely this issue was not caused by Ship Your Car Now. We kindly advised Mr. Machado of this reality and provided him with the necessary insurance information to make a claim. We are very disappointed with this outcome and tried every possible avenue of relief to correct the situation, including a full refund of his money (though this issue occurred at no fault of Ship Your Car Now). However, it does not appear Mr. Machado pursued the proper avenue for relief and instead, chose to vent on this site to Ship Your Car Now detriment.
We still encourage Mr. Machado to seek relief from the carrier's insurance company responsible for the damage and hope that his vehicle is repaired quickly and correctly.

They want to quote you low and then jack up the price when it comes time for your car to be picked up. I was bs'd by one company(A1 express transport), abruptly canceled on with no... [ More ] | | Ryan, we sincerely apologize for the issues that arose during the transportation of your vehicle. Our only hope is that you are satisfied with the ultimate outcome. We wanted to mention the following however concerning this transportation. You state you were low balled by 2 companies that ended up raising the price on you at the last minute neither one of those companies are called Ship Your Car Now. We quoted you $685 and we found you a driver within minutes at that exact price. We then dispatched your vehicle to a carrier for a scheduled pick up on Saturday August 20th with a delivery on Monday or Tuesday the latest. On Friday 8/19 at 10:30pm we received a call from you stating the driver is delayed and will now be picking up the vehicle between Saturday and Monday. This struck SYCN as odd since the preferred carrier was scheduled to pick up on Saturday why would he extend the pick up window all the way to Monday? We told you we would contact the driver in the morning to find out what is going on and get back to you with more information. We called the carrier and left messages to get back to us because if there are any delays he needs to inform us immediately which is clearly stated in our terms and conditions.
Throughout the weekend the carrier would not respond to any of our calls or emails yet they called you to say wewere not truthful with you. In the interim we answered every single one of your calls even the ones that came after midnight. And we were truthful with you when we said that we can look for another driver but the reality is that we probably won't find one until Monday so we are basically at the carriers mercy. You then asked what happens if the carrier does not show up? And we stated clearly that "we will ship your car for $0 deposit if we have to because our reputation is more important than a commission on any deal". At that time you were very appreciative of our efforts and the fact that we were always available for you when you called.
On Monday 8/22 you called us to find out where the driver was because he made arrangements with your pick up contact to be there in the morning. We actually got a hold of the carrier and he informed us he was an hour away. This of course turned out to be a lie because you called us later that evening at 11:30pm we received an email that the carrier has canceled the load. The next morning we called you to inform you of the situation and that we will find you a driver immediately and we reiterated that we will do this for free if we have to and the only cost will be a COD pmt for the preferred carrier. We then found you a driver within 30 minutes to pick up your car that afternoon and refunded your deposit $150 so you can pay the carrier upon delivery of your vehicle. And we did this because you were treated poorly by the other companies and we wanted to earn any future business you may have which you agreed that we did.
Surprisingly on Thursday 8/25 you posted your review which mentioned all the wrongs that were perpetrated against you by other companies yet you omitted all the time, effort, and dedication our company put in to ship your vehicle. Again, we strive for 100% customer satisfaction and sincerely hope that the ultimate outcome of your transportation with ship your car now was favorable and completed to the best of our ability.
