They have shipped dozens of cars for us with no complaints. They have a 100% rating as well. The communication between the carrier's dispatcher and the customer was unacceptable and we will not be using the carrier again. We only were notified when the car was going to be delivered later than originally stated, which can sometimes occur in this business. When we called the carrier to discuss the delay in delivery, the carrier said they offered the customer a discount to accommodate them. | The worst experience ever | | My first contact person with this company was Barbara. The first quote I received from her via email was for an open carrier and the price was $750.00 total (which includes the $150.00 brokerage fee from All States Car Transport). When I called and s... [ More ] | | This is in response to the assault on the integrity of All States Car Transport and our employees by a former customer, Mr. Ken Ritter.
First of all, the first thing Mr. Ritter neglected to mention, was that upon booking this order with All States Car Transport, he was already booked with two (2) other companies and was posted with three (3) companies at the same time on national board. Barbara informed him - that he must contact these other companies to remove his car from the Board with their companies. One of them complied - the other did not. So he is posted with two (2) companies - both offering a driver $900 for an enclosed transport. Anyone who knows how the shipping industry works - knows that there is no driver that will get involved in such a scenario where two drivers are both offering the same price for shipping one vehicle.
When the second company refused to remove his vehicle from the Board, we even contacted them and informed them that he had booked his transport with us and that they would need to remove him from the board. This was the only thing holding up his move.
Mr. Ritter ignored our request to remove the other company. Eventually - he was getting upset that no one was picking up his vehicle and stated that he would even take an open carrier. Our dispatcher found a driver who would transport the vehicle for him and cotacted Mr. Ritter. He was happy to know that the car was finally getting picked up. (We now know why Mr. Ritter was not vigilant in making the other company remove him from the Board.)
The vehicle WAS - in fact - picked up. He said that the driver asked him for more money - which our driver denies. Mr. Ritter says that the driver finally agreed to the original amount - how convenient. But prior to this - Mr. Ritter conveniently wanted to refuse to pay for the move.
Unfortunately, there are people who do this for a living (shipping cars in this way - to get free shipping or to get a refund from their credit card - by threatening to post a bad review about the brokerage company or the driver. This is the absolute truth when I report that Mr. Ritter offered this company $900 to retract his statement, knowing that the broker is at times at the mercy of the customer.
However, we have been in this business for over 10 years and have been at this particular location for 4 months. Up until Mr. Ritter's assault on our company and our employees (Barbara and Ely) - we have a stellar reputation in this business. We are respected by our peers and our customers. We are in the business of providing a service to our valued customers and have done the very best we can and look forward to moving forward and continuing to provide the best service possible.
Other brokers beware of customers who operate this way. There is always someone out there ready to try to take away your reputation and your business for the mighty dollar.
