Never picked up

I am going to describe my situation based on FACT as much as possible.

I placed an order on Aug. 17 to ship my car from Yorktown Heights, NY to Austin, TX. The available pickup window that I wrote down in the order form was Aug. 23-Aug. 30 because I had to leave NY in the morning of Aug. 31. I asked if they could pick up my car by Aug. 30 explaining my situation before I placed an order. They answered like they were very likely to pick up my car within the pickup window as they had many available drivers around that area. That's why I chose this company without hesitation.

I called on Aug. 28 wondering the status. They still answered that my car could be picked up within a couple of days because available trucks were around there. I hoped that should happen. However, when I called again on my last day in NY, Aug. 30, they changed their word. They said "labor day holidays are about to begin, so it's hard to find available truck drivers." and "we can not find a driver till the end of the holidays."

After I arrived in Austin I called several times, but received the same answer "We are trying to find a driver." When I heard that answer again even after 4 weeks passed since I placed an order, it sounded like it would take forever. I canceled my order on Sep. 13.

Then I placed an order on Sep. 14 to another company which offered a simiar quote. This company already arranged a driver to pick up my car on Sep. 20, and told me the expected delivery date would be Sep. 26. What a convenience! I should have not placed an order to State 2 State. Or at least, I should have changed a shipping company much earlier.
