While I was recently in CA, on vacation, I decided that it was time to transport my non-operative '68 Dodge Charger back to VA (where I live).

As it was a spur of the moment decision, I really didn't know who to turn to for shipping. I did a quick internet search and found a rate request tool. Streamline gave me the best rate of any company out there. I then found this site and noted that Streamline was one of the best companies rated. So, I decided to give them a try.

I contacted JoAnn on Wednesday (8/17/05) and explained that I needed the car picked up no later than the following Friday (8/26/05). She was very friendly and professional. She explained how her company worked and how the pricing worked. I agreed to all of terms. She then sent out a transport request for an ASAP pickup.

I forgot to mention to her that I would be out of town over the weekend of 8/20 - 8/21. When I got back in town, on 8/22, I found there were a few message from the transport company (Grizzly Auto Sales & Transporting) and from JoAnn at Streamline. Dave at Grizzly was ready to pickup my car the day before I got back in town.

Well, I knd of figured that I blew that date, since I hadn't been there. I called JoAnn to let her know what was going on. She was pretty sure that Dave (from Grizzly) was still in the Sacramento area and asked that I go ahead and give him a call. Wouldn't you know Dave was actually on his way back into Sacramento and picking up my non-operative would be no problems for him.

Once he was closer in, he called and spoke with my Mother, to get final directions to the house. She found him very pleasant to speak with. Once he got there and backed his rig down the road, I showed him what we were up against, in getting the car out of the back yard.

Dave discussed the quoted price and explained the fuel surcharge and gave me a rough dollar value on the surcharge. He was still less expensive that the other companies that I had compared.

My step-father helped to get the car out of the yard and into the street. I then worked with Dave, to help him get it up on his trailer. During this time, I found Dave to be a very easy to work with. I felt very confident that there would be no problems in getting my car back to VA.

Before Dave left, he asked when I would be returning to VA, so he could arrange his schedule to get into town within a couple of days of that. I told him that I would be returning on Saturday (8/27) afternoon. He called me Saturday afternoon and told me that he would be in town mid-morning on Sunday (8/28). Sure enough, Sunday at about 10AM, I got a call from him and he was in town.

I met him where he had parked and drove him into my neighborhood, so he could see if he wanted to get his truck in there. As there was no easy way for him to turn his truck around and get back out, we decided to just unload onto my flatbed car hauler.

The unload went very well. He even came back with me, to guide the car hauler back into my driveway.

Dave was definately a great person to work with. I would not hesitate to have him transport any of my vehicles.

JoAnn (at Streamline) did a great job in locating a quality transport service. I really like the fact that she handled all of the paperwork and confirmed all of his insurances, before allowing them to contacting me or transport my car.

I would not hesitate to use Streamline again.

It was definately a very positive experience.
