Consolidated Auto Transport (CAT) = Couldn't Arrange Transport

On February 25th I contacted Jennifer and arranged to have a Cadillac Escalade transported from North Carolina to Missouri. I was quoted a price of $ 525.00 (the breakdown was $ 175.00 deposit and $ 350.00 transport,) and I was told that the vehicle would be picked up within 10 days on the first available carrier after February 26th. On or around March 6th I called for an update and Jennifer was again, very friendly, and told me that a carrier was on it's way but had a flat tire or some mechanical problems. By Monday, March 11th my vehicle was still sitting in North Carolina. I called CAT (I couldn't get an answer so I did call back several times) and I was told by someone other than Jennifer that he would need to increase the transport price to make it more attractive to a carrier. I told him to just cancel it and I would make different arrangements. Moments later Jennifer called me back and said she "was returning my thirteen phone calls." I told her it was taken care of and she hung up. I received another five phone calls from CAT and when I answered my phone they hung up (I have a screen shot on my phone of their numerous hang ups, I guess they don't realize caller ID works both ways). I immediately contacted DAS and my vehicle was picked up within 36 hours.). I have been in business for myself for over 25 years and I understand that sometimes there are circumstances beyond our control; however, I am never rude, obnoxious, or lie to my customers. I have found that an honest explanation from the start goes a long way. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Today, I have contacted my credit card company and initiated a dispute in order to get my deposit returned.
