Total Car Shipping co. overall was a good experiance, the person I delt with did it in a professional manner. The total cost to ship my classic car from Florida to CT. was a very fair price.The problem I had was with the company that shipped the car, Big Boy Shipping. First I was told the car would be picked up on Thursday and that was delayed untill Saturday already a two day delay. I called the driver on Monday and asked if he knew about when the car would arrive he said Tuesday afternoon. So I took a half day off from work and no car I gave up at 8pm that night. Again called him Wed. morning he sai he would be there between 2-4 pm, another half
day off from work, and no show. Finally they called me at 8pm and said they were down the street but they wanted to unload the car there. That's a very resedential area so as they had to take two cars off before mine you can imagine the noise at that time of night. So I walked down to the unload area and as I expected two cops showed up lights flashing the whole thing they had received a number of complaints from the area about this. So after I had to give them info and the driver had to show all the slips for the cars we unloaded the car. Now with the police still there the driver told me I had to drive the car to my house. I said this is great I had to drive and un regestered car now on the street with two cops right behind me. I said I was supposed to get door to door, he said he would drive it. This whole experiance with Big Boy trucking was a nightmare. Don't use them ever.
