Inaccurate and unreliable pricing

I looked for shipping quotes 10 days prior to the first available shipping date and was given an offer significantly below the others. My dates were flexible, so I figured I'd take the chance and signed the contract 1 week prior to the first available shipping date I listed on my contract. The first call I received had a price that was more than double their original estimate. The closest carrier price they found was 50% percent higher than their estimate. The $199 booking fee is clearly stated when signing the contract, however the $75 cancellation fee is in the fine print of the contract (number 18 of the Terms and Conditions). They offered to cancel my order several times, due to the inability to find a price close to the quote, however I would still have had to pay the cancellation fee (although they initially offered the cancellation). The customer service agent became combative when I explained that the contract should continue until it either expires or they find a carrier that can give me a price closer to their quote, as I wasn't willing to pay a cancellation fee, nor was I willing to pay such a substantial markup from their original quote. The contract was eventually canceled without a cancellation fee. If you need your vehicle to depart on a specific date and near the quoted price, I'd suggest finding a company that's more reliable and accurate with their pricing.
