At the last minute, I decided to ship my 2004 Chevy Corvette convertible from San Antonio, TX to Northern KY (Cincinnati area). Obviously, I was extremely aprehensive to let anyone have the keys at all. Keep in mind that this is the car that I've always dreamed of owning, and I am very careful with everything about it...low miles, perfect paint, interior, etc.

The car was picked up on Tuesday evening (my flight was early Wednesday morning) and loaded onto an open trailer (same as OEMs use to deliver to dealerships) while I watched. The driver / operator was very carful with the car as he drove it onto the truck and spent quite a bit of time making sure it was properly secured. He informed me of his schedule and tentative plan to deliver the car back to me.

On Friday evening (3 days later), the driver arrived in Northern KY with my car and I met him in a local parking lot (easier to unload and maneuver the semi). To my satisfaction, the odometer only had 0.3 miles on it. My only complaint was that the car was extremely dirty, but that's what you get on the back of a semi for 1300 miles in the rain.

Overall, I would definetly use Specialty Mobile Systems again. I can see why they're the highest rated carrier.
