Bad Experience

I would not use this company again to transport any of my vehicles. I mistakenly believed the Internet rating reviews on this company and selected them even though they weren't the lowest price transport company. We had a miscommunication problem on the pickup date, but once that was resolved after many phone calls on my part, the cars ( I shipped 2) were picked up at my house at 9:30pm. I never heard from Specialty Mobile Systems again.
After numerous phone calls to the carrier, I found out that my cars wouldn't be arriving as promised. The carrier had multiple vehicle malfunctions over the course of the trip and only because we called him, did we find out where our cars were. I had to call him over the course of 2 weeks to make sure that our cars would arrive at our house. They showed up exactly 2 weeks after they were picked up at 9:00PM.
Specialty Mobile Systems should do a better job of screening the transporters that they broker to.
They maintain that they only use themselves or a "select" carrier with proper equipment, but in this case, they did neither. The transport company owner was very nice and apologetic about all of the delays, but SMS really didn't seem to care once they received their money.
I don't think that they valued me as a customer nor do they understand what "superior" customer service really is.
