My experience started off fine, with Shanta as my contact person. She was quick to give me a price quote, and estimated dates of pickup and delivery. As soon as I signed the contract and paid her the consultant fee, I did not hear back from her to confirm anything. I never received any contact information regarding the shipping company or a phone number for the drivers. It wasn't until I got a call from the driver to pick up my car 2 days before the expected picked up date, and apparently there was miscommunication about when the car was to be picked up. I ended up having to leave my car with a friend, and the car wasn't picked up from him until about 4 hours later than they had specified.

Shanta had told me the car would take 7 days to ship. When I called on the 6th day to see where my car was, I found out the delivery time was going to be delayed. Honestly, this wasn't too surprising because it was around the time of Hurricane Issac, but it should have been their responsibility to contact me and let me know where my car was at, and when I could be expecting it. I ended up getting my car almost a full week after the expected arrival date. Although probably unrelated, the navigation system in my car stopped working as soon as it arrived, and it had been fine just before I shipped it. I was to pay the remaining balance directly to the drivers, who then requested for $50 more than I was quoted by Shanta. I had no choice but to pay them, otherwise they would not release the car to me.

After speaking with Shanta about this price difference and the delay, she very kindly offered to refund me $100. This was in September and when I didn't receive the refund for over a month, she agreed to refund the entire consulting fee of $175. I have not seen that money yet, and it is now December. I contacted her numerous times and either I would get no response, or she would promise that she would take care of it but take no action. I texted her daily reminders starting in November.

I understand that the delay in shipping was due to the weather, but here are the main points as to why I am unhappy with this service:

1. No communication after the consulting fee was paid. I should have received some sort of confirmation regarding pickup dates, and the phone number for the company that would be delivering the car.

2. No communication regarding the status and ETA of the car. Although it is stated on the contract of the shipping company that the delivery date is not guaranteed, the consultant should stress this and give an expected range of arrival dates. I was told 7 days, so I had planned to be without a car for only 7 days (foolish assumption).

3. The incredible delay in receiving the refund that I was offered. Maybe she had just told me this so I would stop bothering her, and never intended on refunding me the money at all.

If this is Tam Peony, It would be nice if you placed your whole name. I am not going to remove your review. You have the right to your personal feelings. Lest you forget that you are not easy to get a hold of either. We played phone tag a lot. When we needed to get a hold of you I never could. When you need to get a hold of me if I didn't answered I did return you call. I emailed you and texted you the drivers info. Once I dispatched you to the carrier. The carrier is then responsible to contact you and notify you of there ETA. Now as far as the delay goes, these are real trucks on real roads and real things does happen. The driver was responsible for contacting you and informing you of the delay. I (ME) offer to refund you out of my pocket. My company did the job they were hired to do. You gave us a bad review based on weather conditions and the fact that you haven't gotten a refund for a job that was completed. I offer to refund you out of the kindness of my heart. You were not entitled to one. You changed your date a couple of times, which meant I had to locate a driver everytime. Then you want me to have a driver come to the airport at 6:00am to get your vehicle. I am not upset. Just seriously think about what you say about someone, before you do. Once you have been dispatched it's a done deal. Have a bless day.
