I am glad to see that Dash Auto Transportaion is out of business! My experience with this company was dreadfull! However, I did learn that most of these companies do not handle the actual transport of your car at all. They simply sell the contract to the best bid out there. If your car makes it in 3 days or 3 months they don't care.... your money is non-refundable. To make a long story short, I paid the total cost to save 20% ($618.00). I was told the driver would contact me the week it was due to be transported, and the transport time would take about 3 days. I thought GREAT, cheaper than driving it up and less hassel.....well not so much. The driver contacted me less than a week before ....told me he had "the bid" on my car and I could expect it in Boston in 3 to 5 weeks depending on other pick ups along the way. Frustrated that Dash had lied to me, I called and tried to cancel the pick up and get a refund. Well, I'm pretty sure that's when it got real interesting! I was driving my car down 95 when I called, they proceeded to tell me that my car had already been picked up and was on its way to Boston ...aahhh I don't think so...I don't know that I need to say more..I disputed the charge with my credit card company, they gladly took care of the charge..and I rented a car when I got there. So if you choose to transport your car... save yourself the headache and make sure the company you are using is the actual carrier and not just a sales office.
