I've shipped three cars in the last year. Amerifreight has always quoted the lowest price. Once they find a carrier, you can count on the price increasing by about 10 percent...but they have still come in the lowest even with this increase. So they clearly know how to find the carriers.
Once you are assigned to a carrier, though, you're pretty much at the mercy of their drivers and delivery schedule. This time, the carrier showed up a day late and had some trouble scheduling delivery. It all worked out OK but was not the easiest transaction. In the end, though, the car was delivered as promised for the agreed price. And they were quite flexible in accommodating luggage and other personal items transported in the car.
