Stefan provided great service and was the only broker out of three that I was comparing that took the time to call me and explain how the estimate was arrived at. Also videos on the Ship A Car Direct site are very informative & helpful.also the estimate given did not change and the transport driver accepted certified checks. Unlike another broker that wanted to charge me $300.00 more than their estimate to pick up the car when I wanted it picked up. We needed to get the car to my son as fast as possible because he had been in an accident and totaled his car. The SDM transport driver was very prompt & got the car to my son in California on time and in the same shape as we had given it to him.
The only problem I had was with the Ship a car direct app, had a problem with loading the photos & once a photo is taken the only way you can change the photo is to retake it and since the car was already gone I couldn't do that. So the app was useless to me. Also the photos taken are only saved in the app and not on my phone, so reloading the photos could not be done.
The other problem I had was with the customer service at SDM, I called them 3 times to get information & every time I couldn't talk to the person whom supposedly was assigned to my account. So I didn't find out who the driver was or when he was coming until I received a call from the driver. So SDM communication was lacking.
