I have never shipped a car before, so I had no frame of reference as to cost, time or procedure.
I decided to go on line and get information and reviews. I called several company's with good reviews.
I found David from Ship a Car Direct to be the most informative and helpful. I did get a lower estimate from another company, but while I was on the phone, he checked to see the current rate of the transporters that he had used and had confidence in. He gave me the lowest current rate that was only a little higher than the lowest rate I found and I took it. I felt more comfortable using his company as he was local and felt issues would be easier to resolve. I am happy I did. There were no issues. The car was picked up on time by a very nice and considerate driver and delivered on time in the same manner. I do not expect that I will ever have the need to ship a car again but if I do I will certainly use Ship a Car Direct again. I have no reservations about recommending them to a friend.
