It started very well. Mary and Alex were professional, nice nad knowledgable. I booked an open truck so I knew the car would be dirty, which I expected and had no issue with.

The issue I have came with the company they hired to transport the car to San Antonio, TX . They had a 5 hour delay in Tucson for an unknown reason. As a result, he was unable to deliver the car on Monday evening as discussed. So driver called me and told me can deliver to car to me at 5AM at a Sam's Club parking lot or I can meet him in Austin or Houston. Austin is 90 miles, Houston is 200 miles.

I am not sure why I would have to pick between getting up super early to meet the driver or have somebody drive me 90-200 miles to pick my car that I paid to have delivered to my home in San Antonio.

I paid good money for a service and I did not get it. As a customers I should be able to get the delivery at a decent, acceptable time, not at dawn when it is convenient for the driver.

Even worth, while all this was going on, King of the road was absent and refused to return my phone calls and did not provide ANY assistance or solution. I expect better from a service agency that should care about their customers.

I would never use King of the Road again.

It saddens me to see how low some people can go out of spite. It is clear on his review that he wasn't happy with the carrier (situation that I will address next), but I do not see the reason why he chose to fabricate facts in order to tarnish our -still- excellent reputation. Fabricated fact #1 Check out how Mr. Jacobi claims his delivery was late (5 days). Now check this note from our agent on the very day Mr. Jacobi booked the order with us (the same day he was assigned a carrier, by the way) 10/27/14 1:06 pm Hi Tim, I have scheduled the Porsche for pick up Wednesday 10/29, no later than Thursday and delivery is to be within 5 days. The total comes to $735 all inclusive. Upon pick up, King of the Road will charge $185 to the card you provide on the contract, and pay the remainder of $550 to the carrier in cash, cashiers check or money order. I will send over the contract for you to review. Please fill out section 4 and return by fax or email provided at the top of the agreement. If you have any questions, please let me know. Also, can I verify with you the last 6 digits of the VIN# and also is there anyone specific we should ask for at the dealership? I appreciate your business. Again, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or email. Best regards, Mary Rhiannon English. Fabricated fact #2 -They had a 5 hour delay in Tucson for an unknown reason.- He was informed of the delay as well as the reasons for it. Here are the notes: -11/03/14 10:23 am Driver is in Tucson, had a slight delay with a client. Will be there in the morning, if he can not make it at a reasonable hour today. -Mary Rhiannon English. -11/03/14 10:36 am called client and provided update..client doesnt believe that he will make it today.....he would like it dropped off during the day but he also mentioned that he has a busy schedule for work tomorrow...agent will call the carrier today before end of day to get a new update. -Alex Torrez. 11/03/14 4:04 pm called carrier..he is about 11-12 hours away - - he will be calling the client before the end of the day and will probably deliver early tomorrow morning. -Alex Torrez. 11/03/14 4:06 pm called client and provided the update. - Alex Torrez. Are those enough updates? Fabricated fact #3 -So driver called me and told me can deliver to car to me at 5AM at a Sam's Club parking lot or I can meet him in Austin or Houston. Austin is 90 miles, Houston is 200 miles. The driver was delayed and wanted to deliver the car the following day if not able to do so later that day. He refused and said he needed his vehicle RIGHT AWAY. The carrier stated he could not do right away due to his delay (delays are thoroughly covered in our contract, which Mr. Jacobi signed). As Mr. Jacobi insisted, the carrier simply gave him the following option -not demand, just option: He could do next day early in the morning around 7AM. That did not suit Mr. Jacobi either, and it reflects on the email he sent us 11/04/14 8:26 am Hi Alex: I just got off the phone with the driver and he wants to deliver the car tomorrow morning before 7AM. That does not work for me. I can do 10AM, but he told me he does not want to wait that long. Please instruct him to meet me at the new location at 10AM tomorrow. Please call if there are any other issues with this driver. Regards TIM As Mr. Jacobi kept demanding his car RIGHT AWAY, the carrier gave him the option of coming to get it himself (again, just an option, not a demand). Told him he could get his car at either Austin or Houston. Fabricated Fact#4 (the worst of them all) Even worth ( Ibelieve he meant worse), while all this was going on, King of the road was absent and refused to return my phone calls and did not provide ANY assistance or solution. All the notes I just shared suggest otherwise. And those are only our internal notes, I did not include the numerous emails and phone interactions with him. Lastly I want to make it clear that delays can happen due to many reasons, including traffic, weather, mechanical issues or other clients on the carriers load, and they aren't necessarily our clients which leaves it out of our control. For example, if this carrier would have had to wait until 10AM to deliver, the remaining vehicles on his truck would have been late for delivery as well. Multiply that by 8-10 vehicles on a carrier and you have your answer. That is the reason why delivery dates are never guaranteed in this industry, and anybody telling you otherwise is simply not being truthful. I wish Mr. Jacobi would have chose to stick to the truth instead of these fabrications, however, we wish him the best in the future and are always available should he need our services again.
