After breaking down on the Grapevine in Southern California on a Friday at 11:00 pm, Being towed to the nearest hotel and talking to a mechanic the next morning, I found that my mechanic in Northern California would be responsible for the $4,000.00 repair. I went online from my hotel room to find a transport company to move the vehicle and immediately received a handful of responses. My wake-up call came when I responded to the wonderful low bids I was receiving and found that most were auto-generated, not accurate and there was nobody on the other end to help on a Saturday. So, we rented a vehicle to get home and left ours in So Cal at $50.00 per day storage. Sunday afternoon I set out to find someone to move this car, good luck on a Sunday! At 8:00pm I was at the end of hope when out of the blue (or darkness of night) Max called me from Florida (11:00pm his time). After honestly informing me that his company would not be in the area until Wednesday He set out to educate me on the workings of the transport business, offered to send screenshots of the data he was looking at, and then allowed me to name my price based on the data he was sharing. He then posted my request online. Within an hour he had me scheduled for the next day with a driver that lives 3 miles from me and couldn't have been a nicer guy! The vehicle was picked up on time Monday in So Cal and delivered to my mechanic Tuesday morning at 8:00 as promised. The driver (Steve) asked for the quoted payment and went on his way. Thanks to Max being willing to work very late on a Sunday night I saved at least $100.00 in storage fees and Steve delivered the knockout blow by being everywhere on time! Great job guys!!
