I originally contacted Alpine Transport, a carrier, however David told me he did not have any trucks available to transport my exotic across country. He informed me he could broker the transport. I explained my hesitancy with using a broker since they do not have control over the trucks or employees of the carrier. I agreed to consider some of his carriers with the condition that he provide me the insurance cert and that the company would be verifiable, reputable and have reviews from past customers readily available online. He seemed bothered by my conditions but assured me he would provide me the info I requested. He told me he did not trust giving me the carrier info until I agreed to a dispatch order. Even after my assurance that I would not circumvent him, he still pressured me to allow him to place the dispatch order. I agreed with the condition I could cancel if the company did not check out. He argued a bit with me, de-valued my desire to research the carrier that would have my car on their trucks and tried to pressure me into accepting the carrier he chose without questions. He felt I should just trust him, yet he couldn't trust me by giving me the carrier info until I committed to the dispatch.....
The info David provided to me was skeletal. I have still not been able to find reviews, licensing info or anything that makes me feel warm and fuzzy about the people who will hold the keys to my exotic for over 7-10 days. After reporting back to David at Alpine, he grew angry and ridiculed my concerns. He claimed he has used this carrier for 5 years yet he could not provide me proof of this. He told me I was overreacting and that he had never had a customer ask for the things I asked for. He treated me as if I were crazy and he made fun of the fact that I was being too protective of my expensive possessions. Needless to say, I cancelled immediately. First off because of the lack of care, respect and poor customer service skills portrayed by David, and second because of the lack of verifiable info on the carrier. If there is nothing posted on the internet about a company, and the few things I did find were negative and did not add up, that points to danger.
I am looking for a large, reputable company to do this job for me. If anyone has a referral please contact me.

The day I crossed paths with Xena...I honestly don't believe this review deserves a serious response as thousands of our happy customers and loyal clients over the years would attest to the way we do business. Although I'm never one to not defend myself or this company either I will play along. Xena is leaving out a lot of facts, being dishonest and quite theatrical. To start with I spoke to Xena shortly after her quote request came in and I knew right away she was going to be very difficult. But me being eager to help everyone no matter how challenging it can be I was ready to help. I know that not every customer is pleasant. She wanted to ship her 2005 Ferrari from Boca Raton to Beverly Hills ASAP on an enclosed carrier and of course at the lowest price....I tried to explain to her it would be tough on such short notice but I would make some calls to some of our good relationships who run this route (FL-CA) to see how quickly I could schedule as our trucks were booked. I did get a hold of one of our great contacts who, has really nice hardside enclosed trucks, could pickup within 2 days and not to mention at the low end of what I quoted her, which I thought she would appreciate. I did provide her with the company's DOT, MC numbers, owner's name, phone numbers and insurance certificate with their insurance coverage. I even gave her their facebook page. Not to mention she called them and verified all the info and their facebook. I'm not sure what she finds skeletal about that much info as there isn't anything else I could provide. They have a 100% rating with 0 negative ratings and 0 bad reviews. When she called them they got the exact same offensive tone from her, very rude, questioning their professionalism and stature as a carrier and overall company. They called me back and decided they wouldn't take the load because of her better than...attitude and didn't have time for all of her drama. At that point I really felt like anybody that crosses paths with her probably has the same impression/experience. Throughout talking with Xena during the phone calls she kept reminding me that she's a professional woman, a high end realtor and that she should be treated differently as a female... I politely explained to her I treat all of our customers with the same respect and courtesy whether they're male or female. Whether they are a high rolling realtor sending their Ferrari to Beverly Hills or a hard working male or female school teacher or firefighter sending a Camry to Des Moines I provide the same great customer service. Anybody who's worked with me knows this and that I take my job very seriously and I'm available to my customers pretty much 24/7 if they need anything. In closing overall Xena seemed to have a very high sense of entitlement and I don't think I or anyone else can satisfy her.
