I shipped my BMW from the Northern Virginia area to Seattle. Like everyone else, I reviewed and researched multiple companies and went through yelp reviews, BBB ratings, etc.

I contacted a few companies including Ship a Car direct and settled on a couple of options - the price quote I received was not unreasonable but not cheap either. Given my travel schedule and other commitments, it took me over 2 weeks (or more) to finally book the order with them. I tried lowering my price by a couple of hundred dollars since that felt reasonable to me.

dale did a great job of understanding my point of view and booking the order accordingly letting me know that there is a chance the transporters may not pick up my car at tht price. After a few days I was contacted again by dale and since the car was not picked up, I brought it back to the original quoted price. Within 3-4 days I received a call saying the car is ready to be booked. I was provided a link and made the payment for the booking amount. My car arrived in proper condition and the driver was very courteous and friendly.

So I am satisfied with the service and would recommend to others.

In terms of areas of improvement - I had read enough yelp reviews for Ship a Car direct that I kind of knew what I was going into - repeatedly customers talked about that their service is proper and on time and reliable. The warm and fuzzy, however is not to be expected.

I think, personally, Dale did a good job working with me - I do sense that this industry is not about making the customers feel special or do unecessary sweet talk. They are polite, courteous, to the point and will get the job done for you. Nothing wrong with that at all.

If I were to suggest one area of improvement, I would say - just realize that a lot of times customers may be transporting their vehicles for the first time and may be nervous or have apprehensions about this entire process. A proactive conversation with your customers and building the clients trust by telling them they have nothing to worry about and that you will figure out all the details for them, is a load taken off their head and will go a long way. Some pleasantries exchanged is not necessarily a bad thing :)

Overall, I am ahppy - thanks for your help!
