Where's my car?

I received a quote from Mercury Auto Transport to transport my car from South Carolina to Texas. Original quote was for $700. I was informed by Jim at Mercury Auto Transport that "money talks" in the auto transport biz. He informed me that offering more money would increase my chances of getting my car picked up and delivered sooner. We decided to offer $1000. Shortly after making the $1000 offer Jim called me with a driver from CNC Logistics. I was told my car would be picked up and delivered by Sunday or Monday at the latest. This was the main reason we made the $1000 offer so I can get the car "sooner rather than later". Sunday rolls around and no word from driver. I call the driver and he says Monday evening or Tuesday at the latest due to some "unexpected federal filings". I told him that I do not know what that means but I will take off work for another day to be available for delivery on Tuesday. On Monday the driver calls me and tells me he has some very bad news for me.. He tells me his truck was stolen but my car was left behind on the trailer. I asked the driver where the trailer and my car are currently located and he told me at his house in Georgia. Also, the keys to my car are in his truck which was stolen as well. So that's where we stand as of right Monday, August 18th, 2014. We will see how this turns out. I will be writing same review for CNC Logistics.
