I needed to ship a car from California to Georgia and after much research, I chose to go with Motor movers. I chose them because they offered a rate of $1150 with door to door service, which was fair I though,t and because I was told my credit card would not be charged for deposit until the car was actually picked up. (this gave me a sense of security, in hopes of not being scammed) However, I was charged for the deposit days before the car was picked up. I called Motor Movers and was given an explanation that didnt jive with me, but I accepted it. The car was picked up on the requested day. While the car was enroute to Georgia nor after delivery, I hadn't received any word from Motor Movers. This was quite nerve wracking because I would have liked to have know that my car was indeed making its way to me safely. The car did arrive on the target date, however I had to call the carrier myself to see where the car was and when I would get it. I was told my car had actually arrived in Georgia a couple of days early and had been sitting over the weekend. This bugged me a bit, but I didnt fuss over that since I was told June 7 was to be the arrival date. The car arrived undamaged but dirty which was to be expected since it was shipped on an open carrier. Overall I would say Motor Movers did a good job getting my car to me, but better customer service and 100% honesty about charges would have made a huge difference in the way I rated the company.
