My search for a 1965 Triumph TR4 has lasted many, many years for a variety of reasons; limited inventory,financial, rust concerns, overall condition, trustworthy sellers and a whole lot more. I found one that I really wanted in March, 2014 and began a dialogue with the seller who is in Philadelphia while I am in Portland, Oregon. In addition to my other concerns I now added a long-distance transaction with outside inspection services to my list. The car was restored to original condition mechanically but cosmetically needed some work, but nothing major. In June we negotiated the price and signed an agreement and I was well on my way.
I searched four different freight companies before going with Amerifreight. I read a large quantity of reviews, checked pricing and ratings of the carriers they do business with. My initial contact was a positive experience and received a quote within hours of my phone call with all the information I needed to conduct the transaction. When I called to arrange the pickup of the car, I was called back within 30 minutes that a carrier was found and in the area. To consolidate this story, the car developed a carb leak and the initial pickup plus one more attempt were failed due to the seller not being candid about the issue. However, the 3rd time was a charm, another carrier was found and picked up on schedule and delivered cross country ahead of schedule. David followed up with me the entire time to ensure the car was OK, in running condition and safely transported. The car was delivered as promised last week and today I received a follow up call from David to check on the delivery and overall experience.
Overall the service and team are very professional and I'd recommend them highly and call upon their services again.
