BAD Service and Lack of Honesty!!

You can read my other review to get an idea of what happened. Short synopsis - Door to Door CONTRACTED with Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS) to carry the vehicle from Florida to Puerto Rico. However, instead of Door to Door paying DAS directly, as contractors are supposed to do, THEY gave out our personal credit card information to DAS and had DAS charge us! It had never been discussed, we did not give Door to Door permission to do such a thing, and we had never heard of DAS until we got the credit card statement! How much culpability DAS has in this, I don’t know. I really had no problem with DAS, except that they never cleared the use of our credit card with us. What I do know is that it IS NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY A COMPANY THAT WE DID NOT HAVE A CONTRACT WITH. That is Door to Door's responsibility.

Door to Door flat out refuses to own up to what they did, choosing to personally attack me, saying that I am attempting to extort money. They also told me that I had lost my “best ally” and they (Door to Door) had become my “worst enemy” in a disputed charge that they weren’t even named in!! I haven’t disputed any payments made to Door to Door! Only the one paid to DAS that was not authorized.

Door to Door is just trying to distract people and keep them from believing my review. This is a FAMILY-owned business? Makes me wonder what kind of family owns it. Making threats against a customer is not very good business.

I requested that Door to Door pay DAS and just suck up the loss and learn from it. They continue to blame me. So they can throw threats and lies all they want. I have proof in e-mails and paperwork and I will not be bullied. Door to Door committed a crime when they gave out our personal credit card information without authorization; I hope they've got a lawyer ready.

We're glad you were so happy with the successful delivery of your car from Virgina to Puerto Rico. As you know,this was a complex move,involving many companies,so we're glad it all went well. Which is why we were so surprised by your review. * You were happy with the service. * You were happy with the price. * You were happy with the delivery of your vehicle. 5 months later,the issue you have is how you were charged the service. The charge was split between the 2 companies that shipped your car- the land delivery and the sea delivery. We are a small family company and do not own large expensive cargo ships, so we partner with companies who do ( like most auto transporters.) If you feel more comfortable having a charge not split on your credit card statement, we could arrange for that ahead of time for your next delivery. We strive hard to have all of our reviews be 5-stars, with complete customer satisfaction.
