I PURCHASED A 2007 BMW 7 SERIES FROM A FAMILY MEMBER IN PORTLAND OREGON AND WANTED IT SHIPPED TO GRAND RAPIDS MICHIGAN. I LOOKED ONLINE FOR A REPUTABLE COMPANY TO SHIP MY CAR AND AFTER DOING SOME ONLINE RESEARCH, I SPOKE TO DUSTIN HIMES WITH AMERI FREIGHT. AFTER GETTING A FEW OTHER QUOTES ELSEWHERE I DECIDED TO GO WITH AMERI FREIGHT.
THE CAR WAS PICKED UP AT MY BROTHERS PLACE OF WORK. THE GUY WAS ON TIME FOR THE MOST PART AND WHEN MY BROTHER INSPECTED THE CAR AND LEFT THE CAR WITH THE GUY WHO PICKED IT UP, EVERYTHING WAS FINE. THE GUY CALLED HIM BACK LESS THAN 5 MINUTES LATER AND TOLD HIM THE CAR WAS INOPERABLE AND TO COME BACK AND CHECK IT OUT. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS VEHICLE PRIOR TO IT BEING SHIPPED. MY BROTHER WAS COMPLETELY TAKEN BACK BY THIS AS THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN COMPLETELY BABIED SINCE DAY ONE. BEFORE I RECEIVED THE VEHICLE, IT DROVE LIKE A BRAND NEW CAR.
ABOUT A WEEK LATER I WAS SCHEDULED TO HAVE THE CAR DELIVERED ON A WED BETWEEN 8AM AND 5PM. I HAD TAKEN THE DAY OFF WORK TO BE HOME AND NOT ONLY WAS THE CAR NOT HERE AT THAT TIME IT WAS PROMISED IN THE EMAIL, BUT IT WAS DELIVERED AT ALMOST 2AM THE NEXT DAY AND I HAD TO BE AT WORK AT 8AM. I PLACED NUMEROUS CALLS TO THE DRIVER AND EACH TIME THE DRIVER PROMISED IT WOULD BE HERE IN AN A COUPLE HOURS OR SO.
WHEN I FINALLY RECEIVED THE CAR, IT SEEMED TO DRIVE OK AT FIRST BUT THE NEXT DAY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH A TRANSMISSION LIGHT AND THE ALIGNMENT WAS OFF. MORE IMPORTANTLY I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND ALMOST RESULTED IN A CAR ACCIDENT. MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CAR?". IT DID NOT DRIVE LIKE THE CAR I REMEMBERED. AND MY BROTHER WOULD HAVE NOT SHIPPED A CAR IN THIS CONDITION. WHAT HAPPENED FROM POINT A TO POINT B?
I BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP HERE IN MICHIGAN AND THEY TELL ME THE REPAIRS ARE AROUND $792.00 AND WHEN I CONTACTED DUSTIN AT AMERI FREIGHT HE TOLD ME HE WOULD TALK TO HIS SUPERVISORS AND GET BACK TO ME. HE ASSURED ME HE WOULD DO HIS BEST TO TAKE CARE OF ME.. SURE ENOUGH HE DID NOT GET BACK TO ME AND I HAD TO CONTACT HIM VIA EMAIL TO PLEASE CALL ME BACK. INSTEAD OF DOING THE PROFESSIONAL THING LIKE CALLING ME BACK, HE EMAILS ME BACK SAYING THERE IS NOTHING HE CAN AND THAT IT WAS IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. HOW IS THIS GOOD BUSINESS? THE CAR WAS IN THEIR POSSESSION AND WAS NOT DELIVERED IN THE MANNER IN WHICH IT WAS PICKED UP.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND AMERI FREIGHT TO ANYONE. VERY QUICK TO GET YOUR MONEY AND SET UP THE SHIPMENT. WHEN IT COMES TO TAKING CARE OF THEIR CLIENTS, I WOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE HAVING AMERI FREIGHT TAKING CARE OF YOUR SHIPMENT NEEDS.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

AmeriFreight is always concerned about any bad experience a customer may have when shipping a vehicle. Unfortunately there is very little we can do regarding mechanical failure. Vehicles are inspected for damage only on the outside. It is unlikely that any mechanical damage could have been caused by a carrier. It probably would have been a good idea to have the vehicle checked out mechanically by an experienced technician before it was purchased and shipped. That would have ensured that there could be no doubt that the vehicle was mechanically sound before it was shipped. Otherwise it cannot be proven that the carrier caused the mechanical failure especially since he noticed problems already at pickup. Again we apologize for the inconvenience our customer experienced. We always learn from these reviews how to improve on serving our customers better.
