I signed a contract to have my Truck transported from MD to UT for $1350. After 4 months, I ended up paying $3150 and they added 5K miles to my truck. I contracted with TransAuto Transport to pick up my Truck from the Dodge dealership in MD and deliver it to Cedar City, UT. The sales rep. Trudy V stated they own their own trucks and they are not a broker. Therefore, I signed the contract. On Fri 12/13/13, I called to find out where my truck was. They said the driver that was scheduled did not pick up the truck. I called 12/16/13, 12/18/13, 12/24/13, 1/3/2014, 1/6/14, 1/7/14, 1/9/2014 they would say we'll have a manager call you. No call was received. There comment was there having weather problems and delays and they would have a manager call back. No manager would call. When I finally got hold of Jesus, he just gave me the run around and would not tell me when my truck would be picked up. Finally, on 1/16/14 they said they had a driver on his way to pick up my truck. It was Sam Transport and the owner was Sheldon Willow II. He required $1000 wired to his bank account then $400 would be due when the truck was delivered to my door. The $1000 was wired on 1/17/14. On 1/27/14, I called Sheldon to find out where my truck was. He said his truck broke down in OK and now the truck was in PA. He was arranging with TransAuto Transport to have another carrier pick up the truck. 3/3/14 TransAuto Transport arrange to have the truck transported but the cost would be $1500, I agreed, but said I already paid $1000 to Sheldon. They said we would get that back. On 3/10/14 the driver called and told us he would be dropping the truck off in SLC, UT which is 4 hours from our house. He would not deliver it to our door.I called Jesus, he said that was not what was arranged and he would call the carrier. Jesus didn't do anything, therefore we had a family member pick up the truck in SLC. The following day they told us the mileage on the vehicle was 5K more than when it left the Dodge dealership. I took pictures of the odometer and emailed them to Jesus. He said he would contact Sheldon. I didn't hear from Jesus, so I contacted Sheldon and asked about the $1000 refund. He said he would sent it UPS on Tuesday 3/18/14. Nothing has come. I've called him three times and left messages. No reply. Also, I asked Sheldon about the 5K miles. He stated he had to drive the truck 700 to an auction and then 700 miles back. then another 40 miles for something else, but that should only be 1440 miles total. He did know where the 5K miles came from. Needless to say, I have been waiting for 4 months for TransAuto Transport to ship my vehicle. They did not complete the agreed price of $1500. It cost me $1650 more and 5K more miles on my new truck. I have contacted Sheldon Willow 5 times leaving messages asking for the $1000 refund. No reply. I have contacted Jesus 3 to 4 times asking for the $1000 refund. No reply. The amount of miles from the pick up location to my home was only 2288 miles! This company should be shut down! They have scammed me out of my money and reduced the value of my truck. I've looked into litigation, but that would only cost me more since I have to file court documents in FL. I've tried to contact the CEO or President of TransAuto Transport to resolve this issue, but they will not give out the information. Therefore, I am resolved to issue my complaints to the public and notify them of the lack of integrity this company represents. I hope those searching for a auto transport company reads this complaint and saves them selves the headache! Stay clear of this company!

We are aware of what happened concerning your Dodge 3500. We deeply regret the circumstances, but point out that we did not have responsibility over you truck. Our truck broke down so we had to brokered out you vehicle to SAM Trucking of which they assumed responsibility with their own insurance company. We had no control of what their driver had done being that your vehicle was not in our possession. We have sent you all that we have to be as much of a help as we can , and therefore do not understand why we are getting a bad review on the BBB. We went above and beyond to help resolve the issue at hand. If you can please remove the negative review from our name, and place blame where rightfully deserved. Thank you for understanding, and if you need anything else that we can help you with
