This review is actually for my second time using Stateway for a transport. When I first realized I had to search for a company to ship my car to California, I knew I had to be cautious because there are so many scams and bad people out there. When I made the quote online, so many companies contacted me. I chose the cheapest one that looked legit. I chose a transport company called Pristine Transport. I paid my deposit to them and signed a contract, which I should've read more carefully, and didnt hear from them for maybe another 3-5 days. So then the next week came, I called them and they said they have a pick up scheduled for tomorrow (tuesday) so I got my car ready and waited all day tuesday for no one to come and not even a phone call telling me that my car was going to be picked up today. The next day (wednesday) I called and they said they are trying to find a truck that has an available spot and told me they would call me back in 1 hour. 2 hours go by and no call, so I call them and they say they have scheduled me for a pick up of friday. Friday comes, I sit home all day waiting for the truck, and no one comes. So I call again and they tell me a different day, and the truck still never came. This went on for about 2 weeks and in that two weeks, I never once recieved a phone call from them after they got my money. I signed the contract with Pristine Transport on 8/15/2013 and by 8/30/2013, the day of my flight to California, my car was still in my driveway at home. I asked for a refund many times but they said no because the contract states "no refunds." After calling my bank and them also telling me that because I signed a contract there was nothing they could do, I just gave up on Pristine Transport and found a new company. So I ended up missing my flight which I paid $280 for, and my deposit to Pristine which was $200. The guys name who was "supposed" to be working with me is Rene Sedano. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS AGAIN!!
