As with any 'five star' service, the company was extremely courteous, friendly and supportive until the order was placed.

They did confirm a rough date but once my pickup plans changed by a COUPLE of days everything changed. The booking system is unfortunately not very resilient to change. As a result:

1. Pickup was several days late

2. Delivery was several days late. Technically, this probably constituted breach of contract factoring in 2 weeks for coast to coast delivery and the dispatch person agreed. But there isn't much the consumer can do other than hope that the vehicle gets delivered in one piece!

3. My frantic calls in between went mysteriously unanswered during the period. Tim was not clearly communicating with dispatch (either that or he masked the story before I got his versions). Here's a great example. We were told that since they were late on our vehicle, ours would be the first delivery in California. But guess what, the vehicle wasn't delivered until the 5th day after it entered California. I understand vehicle troubles, weather, etc., but if delivery was going to be delayed, I would have appreciated advance TRUTHFUL notice. Instead, they just kept stalling (I called every single day during the last five days).

4. I had to get a rental car for 7 days, for which Tim paid $100 as 'compensation'

The vehicle did get delivered eventually and I was happy to get it in one piece.

Overall, I would rate this service as a 3 star service as a maximum. Not any higher because a five star (or even a four star) rating warrants a much higher level of service and efficiency. Not any lower since it could easily have gone more wrong. But then if I did know that I was getting a three star service, I could probably have transported my vehicle for a lower price.

Would not recommend this service.
